WHAT IS SODIUM?
Sodium is an important mineral that we need in our diet. It's needed for proper growth,
nerve and muscle tissue function. It's main function is to move fluids and nutrients in and out of the cell membranes.
Most Americans, consume far more sodium than they need. It has been considered to raise your blood pressure. Some research
has found that diets low in sodium intake result in individuals having lower blood pressure than those individulals that
followed a higher intake of sodiums in their diets. Best sources Salt (Table salt), celery, shellfish,
beets, artichokes and in some fresh herbs.
