Muscle soreness is a very common after effect of exercising. It is a result of minor damage
to muscles, ligaments and tendons. It is usually a sign of exercising intensely. Soreness takes place the day after you train or it is often worse two days afterward.
However, a certain amount of soreness
is okay. But, if you are getting so sore that it is interfering with your exercising or your daily schedule then it is
time to ease up and slow down for a while to prevent overtraining.
Stretching, saunas, whirlpools, baths, massage and proper nutrition can help you feel better, but the soreness will take several days to disappear
and the muscles to fully recover.
